The children were supposed to write what they want to be when they grow up on a piece of paper and hang it on the tree.
This is a way to express how they wanna contribute to the society when they grow up.
Of course, most children will write answers like.....
"I want to be a doctor... to cure the sick"
"I want to be a teacher... to educate the young"
"I want to be a scientist... to invent new things"
"I want to be a nurse... to care for the sick"
so on and so forth......
One day, he came home laughing at one of the answer, his not so smart pupil gave.
"I want to be HAPPY"
You may think that it is dumb.
But isn't it the best thing that one can be?
I think it is.
To be happy.......
As we grow up, this world becomes more complicated.
Relationships become more fragile.
Work becomes more stressful.
Expectations become higher.
Responsibilities become more demanding.
And the best that a person can be is HAPPY.
So darling, I'm going to be a copy cat.....

Darling has been invited to join the steering com meeting.
It's a meeting for the management aka HODs in the school.
Apparently, his HOD is retiring and they want him to help take charge.
So Elaine, his supervisor told him that he'll not be having any Saturdays off in Oct coz he has to be in the steering com meeting.
I don't know if this is good news or bad.
Bad news coz he will now have less time for me.
Good news coz I know his hard work through the years has paid off.
Actually, I dun really want him to be a HOD.
:( I rather we have more time together.

I'm getting so good at it.
It's unbelievable.
Don't get me wrong, it's not literal physical smoking.
It's the kinda smoking that happens when you write an essay for your assignment or during exams.
Just completed an econs essay for Bu.
Economics.
Something I've never ever studied in my whole life.
And I managed to come up with an essay of 1250 words.
If it's not smoking, I don't know what is.
Sighz.....
Bu just have this special ability to get me to do things.

and say "never mind, lor".
And I'm hooked!

Phew.... finally I have time to blog again.
Anyway, highlights of the week.... nothing really interesting though.
Monday : I forgot to bring money and my atm card out. :( Borrowed 10 bucks from Grace.
Tuesday : Because I stayed at my Jurong home, I still dun have money or my atm card. Had to borrow 10 bucks from Eric.
Wednesday : I'm starting to panic coz I dun know what's going on for my modules... don't know
what to do for my assignments. stressed..... struggling to complete my 2 opinion papers too.
Thursday : Still struggling to finish up my opinion papers. Watched Singapore Idol
Fiday : Went to JB with Jon and Eve.... but actually I wanted to rush home to complete my Webquest proposal.... was really afraid that my group mates would think that I'm lazy, irresponsible or worse still, a free-rider. :(

God has been very kind to me.
I've never experienced unemployment since I stepped out from Poly.
I like the jobs I've been in too - auditing and teaching.
Maybe I'm just have lower expectations or am more easily contented.
This is why I don't really understand the anguish people feel when they are unsuccessful in getting jobs.
But I just want to let you know.....
Don't worry too much.
God understands,
and He makes all things beautiful in His time.
He will provide you with more than enough.

What happened?
Woke up at 7am to go marketing.... coz I have guests for dinner this evening.
Spent the rest of the morning and afternoon getting rid of the mess in the house.
Made a trip to the fruit stall to buy 4 quarters of watermelon and made Bu balance it on his Kona.
Came home....
Checked my handphone....
Only to realise.......
MORE THAN HALF MY GUESTS ARE NOT COMING
The number has changed from an impressive 8 guests to a pathetic 3.
Of course I am disappointed.
No.... not at the guests.... really.
Just at myself.
Maybe they do not really feel like coming coz they don't like me?

change my bedsheets?!? (do they do this?)
Lazy, lazy, lazy me....
But Bu, can't you see that there're really alot of things to do?
I want to be a rich tai tai.
