In memory

"Why do you have to kill all our pets?!?! My friends.... " (pretend to sob)

He etched the memory of his little friends
In my cruel little mind
Using a little photo
of his dead little lizard
as the backdrop on this little screen
Thanks ALOT!

Flabbergasted

By Caris's energy..... she walked and walked and walked on the treadmill.
She talked and talked and talked.... erm... everywhere.
She laughed and laughed and laughed.... erm... nearly everywhere too.
Prompting Grace to ask "I wonder if you are normally like that even when with your hubby."
I think she is.....
If I am her hubby, that would be what I like about her.
Her energy, her friendliness, her cheerfulness, her as who she really is....
Hee.... I like her too.
But don't worry, I'm not a lesbian.

By Grace's exceptionally excellent ability in a game of pool.
She was able to rattle off the technical terms associated with the game....
of which, I am only able to remember "ball on hand"... erm... or was it "ball in hand"?
Whatever.
The point is, she was able to defeat the Caris-Eileen team hands down, for 3 games I think.
Even though she was absolutely disadvantaged by the 2:1 or 3:1 turn at shooting.
Losing in the 4th game was only because she accidentally "goaled" the black ball....
which we wouldn't even know it constituted to a lost if she had kept mum about it.
Grace = Pool Queenie

By my ability to make a clown out of myself.....
all the time.
Dumbo Eileen managed to get ger face and neck coloured blue using the tip of her cue stick.
Ingenious.
Prompting Grace to suggest using the cue stick for the application of eye-shadow in future.
Grace and Caris only fell short of rolling on the ground in laughter....
I think they would have if the floor was certified clean.
Ha ha.... I agree... it's very funny.
I couldn't wipe the grin off my face as I thought about it in the evening.

Cheated

Bought Adeline Yen Mah's Chinese Cinderella on Tuesday.
When I was reading it, I realised that it's content is actually the same as Falling leaves.
In fact, Falling leaves contains more details on her life than Chinese Cinderella.
How can she use the same material and title it differently?!?!?
That's cheating!!!!!!!
I feel so cheated.... should have gotten The Time traveler's wife instead.
:(

My Baby House Lizard

My baby house lizard is very smart.
He hides behind the door of my storeroom and only comes out when he knows that there's no one at home.
I know this because I've witnessed it many times.
I never see it around when I stay at home for the whole day,
but if I go out and open the door when I return home,
I will see the little lizard zipping around near the kitchen door and dining area.
Though I am tremendously afraid of lizards, this one seems kinda cute... maybe coz it's so intelligent.
Oh by the way, Simon has claimed it as his friend.

Just now, when I came back from my trip to the supermarket,
I saw baby lizard again.
I really don't want a lizard zipping around in my home,
coz it brings back memory about how one lizard got into my mummy's blouse and she had to perform the full monty infront of me.
Anyway, I definitely don't want that to happen to me.
So, I crept to the pile of newspaper,
grabbed one copy,
rolled it up,
and tried to shoo it out of the door.
But baby lizard charged towards me....
so I slammed the newspaper on it,
like i was playing whacko...
Now it's body is lying near the door,
waiting for it's good friend, Mr Simon to bade his farewell.
I'm so sorry.... I rreally only wanted to guide you out of the house.
You shouldn't have charged at me.

he who has eaten more salt than I eaten rice

"see... I tooooold you.... blah blah blah."
Yep, that was Simon.
My husband, guardian, advisor, disciplinarian, baby, pet... and so much more.
He's going on and on about my foolishness in having signed up with California Fitness last June,
how he'd advised me against it,
how I'd been so bimbotic and shallow to not heed his advice and went ahead with it,
and how I've gotten myself into a whole lot of unhappiness, terrible experiences and $$ fly-away consequences....
AND....... it's still not over!!!!!!
I went down to cf yesterday to try terminate my membership.
They want to charge me $300 for termination fee!!!!
Using my stuttering and imperfect English, I tried to reason with the person why I had to pay so much for their staff's mistake.
I can see the person was totally unimpressed... so I guess her reply on Monday would still be....
"You still have to pay"
Anyway, The total damage to my pocket would be near $800 if this terrible episode ends.
Simon thinks it's only $300.....
I can't bear to tell him.....
:( I'm so so so so unhappy.... with myself.... and cf!

Mama Mia

It was good,
though some of the secenes after the interval was quite draggy I thought.
Anyway, I was flanked by 2 sleepyheads, one on my left and one on my right.
The one on my right actually dozed off at some scenes.
tsk tsk....

I love the ending best.
The part where all the characters come out and bow.
I always feel this way for every play or musical that I go to.
The feelilng is kinda like.... some immense satisfaction....
Go watch if you haven't!

Mr Incredible (x2)

Went to watch it again yesterday night.
So, I've officially watched it twice.
Elastigirl (Helen) the mummy in the show reminds me of Sheri.....
I don't know why?
Maybe it's her slender figure.... her gentle nature....
or the fact that she loves her children so much.
Hee hee.... I don't know.
And I've fallen in love with Dash's cheeky look.
I love the part where they've fallen into the sea and he cries...
"We're damned... dead........blah blah blah..."
So cute!!!!!

Finding Nemo (X-box)

Okie, I'm left with only one more level for the game.
Yippee!!!!!!
No wonder Jon said that I shouldn't be a teacher.
He recommended that I join X-box as a .... game consultant?
Coz I can complete games so quickly....
They should employ me to make it more challenging or..... don't know what else he uttered.
By the way, Jon forgot the fact that I only play games that I like well.
Erm.... and usually they're the kiddy kind.... ha ha

Whoa............I love holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reflections

Exam's over..... finally!
I'm relieved, but not exactly excited about the results,
coz I am pretty sure they will not be fantastic.
*girls grin sarcastically*
Reeeeaaaally!
I wish I had put in more effort.
Never mind.... I'm just glad it's over.

I think the most precious gift God has given to me in NIE is...
my FRIENDS.
*girls cringe*
They are INCREDIBLE!
I can never thank YOU enough for them.
thank YOU, thank YOU, thank YOU!

Good and bad experiences I have this semester,
are within God's plan for me to learn,
and be transformed into a better person.
*hands clasped and fingers intertwined*
Continue to give me a teachable heart,
the humility to learn,
and the courage to change.

So blessed, I can't contain it...
So much, I've got to give it away,
Your love taught me to live now...
You are more than enough for me.

Fast forward

If only there's a fast forward button.
I would depress it right now.
and hold it there till I reach the scene where
I'm sitting in the exam hall
ready to start scribbling on my exam script.
Ok ok..... I think I will only depress it only when Singapore Idol is over.

You see,
the revision period this semester is sooooo looooong.
It's bad for me.
I work better with pressure,
I think.
Tsk tsk.....
13 more hours to go.
Quick quick!!!!!

Stigmatized

by the unpleasant episode this semester.
especially so when she said,
"Others may be too nice to warn you about it"
really?
now I feel incompetent to be a member of any group.
never know if people really feel this way.
that's why i'm super cagegy when Caris smsed me about the study notes.

maybe to get the record straight....
i NEVER NEVER intended to exploit anybody.
if you had wanted, i would have gladly completed the work alone.
without grousing.

no, i don't hold anything against you.
in fact i'm glad you spoke up.
but the damage is done.
your hug at the end of the day didn't help.
your apology or admission of being mean,
immaterial.

didn't want to record this down.
it seemed so surreal.
but i realised,
your words have been imprinted.
and i'm still stigmatized.

Till death do us part

Why is it that we can go to chaotic Thailand, but I can't go to pirate infested kelong @ Tanjong Pinang with my friends?
So that if we die in Thailand, we die together, but if you die at kelong, I can't die with you.

COOKIE MONSTER

I love cookies!!!!!!
Edwin bought a packet of Famous Amos cookies for ME.
Despite Darlings vigorous shaking of head,
and his assertion of "Greedy girl!"
*Grinz*

Chomp, chomp, chomp.....
Crunch, crunch, crunch.....
*Rubs tummy in satisfaction*

KIDDYrides

Don't they scrutinize the type of songs a kiddy-ride plays?
Like sift out the inappropriate ones.
Anyway, Bu and I were going for dinner,
when the kiddy ride outside Shop & Save started playing this chinese song about "lazy worm".
It went......

"Ni shi lan duo cong,
Ni shi lan duo cong,
Ni de yi sheng dou shi cong.
La la la la la...."

Anyway, I forgot the rest.
Now I shall attempt to sing it in English.

"You're a lazy worm,
You're a lazy worm,
Your body's full of worm.
La la la la la....."

Apparently, darling thought it's a funny cum appropriate song (at least at that moment).
The moment it started playing,
he got so excited,
swayed to the rhythm,
with his pointy index finger aimed at me!
My gosh....
He actually did it until the music became inaudible.
Embarassing!

Well, at least he brought a smile to the guy walking pass us at that time.

Lost In Translation

I meant, "Let me help you"
You thought, "She thinks I'm stupid"

I meant, "I miss you"
You thought, "Cliche"

I meant, "I love you"
You thought, "Something's wrong"

You meant, "Take care of yourself"
I thought, "Naggy"

You meant, "Learn independence"
I thought, "Uncaring"

You meant, "Interesting, tell me more"
I thought, "Patronising"
